Author Aliker Foundation was founded by Aliker p’Ocitti, a teacher & Ugandan Writer in 2017,first as Gulu Writers Club (GWC) then later registered as Author Aliker Foundation (AAF) a Community Based Organization (CBO) Reg. Number CDR/0894) based in Gulu City.
Aliker is the Author of a Memoir (My Mayor. The Political Campaign Story of a Poor Elite and Rich Illiterate); Hidden Scars, a poetic compilation and Co-Authored, Unsaid Words with Xlibris, New York (USA)
In the Hidden Scars Collection, the Poet uses Covid19 quarantine moments to recollect his mind on his life’s inspirational philosophy on Love and Loss, Suffering and Success, Politics and Power, Choices and Chances, Pain and Passion,and Life and Death.
A Collection of Poetic Family Letters is a collection of poetic letters addressing difficult family conversations.
These are conversations we knowingly or unknowing avoid yet if we had spoken these words, it would have improved our family conversations and family relations.
My Mayor is a book that was inspired by Ochittis experience during campaigns for the position of mayor of Wipolo Municipal Council as a member of the opposition partythe Alternative Forum Party (TAF).

Our services focus on a transition from oral culture to a written literary culture. Our language of instruction is designed to transition from English to a native local language.

Students are encouraged to write their poems preferably in their native local language.

This program offers publishing services like manuscript assessments & ghost writing, editing & proof reading, book formatting & cover designs, book sale and distribution services.

Coaching and Mentorship Program
The language of instruction and content of training in our workshop focuses on the use of native local language.
Through our Author Aliker Poetry Prize; we are able to identify talented student poets to benefit from our coaching and mentorship program.
We also organise customised paid creative writing workshops designed for a particular writing need
homeschooling & GUIDANCE
We carry out homeschooling for much younger creative writers at their own homes with the support and guidance of their parents in their native language.

We envision a literary community where everyone can read and write and speak in their native local languages.
Native local languages are our cultural identities and must be promoted in every form of communication in our communities.
That is why we envision an informed and globally notable literary community proud of its identity and cultural heritage and ready to pleasantly share their uniqueness in language.

Our Mission is to identify and nature aspiring creative writers to become professional writers in their native local language.
These aspiring creative writers are the first frontline line cadres for change in our cultural revolutionary movement to mainstream the use of local languages in our schools and community
